No, new baby news.
Just waiting on Miss Josie to come when she feels like it.
What a wonderful reminder that I am not in control.
Our creator knows the perfect time for her to arrive.
We trust in Him.

Three new blog post below.
Sorry.... still all or nothing these days.

Maternity Pictures by Chris Green

Chris and Katie graciously shot some maternity pictures for us on Thursday night.
I knew they would do a good job.
Here are some of the highlights.
Thanks Chris!

Bye to my cute little office.

I realized, in beginning to pack my office, that no one ever saw my office.
Just Russ.
So here are some pics of where I was the last two years.

Renovation pics & nursery

Here are some pictures of the renovation.
I hesitated to put these up because things are not staged the way I would like.
But oh well.

Sealed up door to our room and now have a new tv on the wall.

We did just have brick fireplaces. Now they are covered with tile. Looks really good.

We painted the walls a blue/gray color. Much more calming. We like it.
Again, nursery pictures are not staged like I would like but you get the jist.

Baby Weekend

Lots going in the Masterson household.
Pictures are taken and ready to be posted of the renovation and Josie's room.
But I decided that Russ should try a hand at blogging and that he should do that post. So we shall see.

Yesterday, Friday, Russ and I had a date day. We ate lunch at one of our favorite spots The Highland Bakery and took a long walk with Thomas and our neighbor Saskia, her 6 month old son, Hugo and her great dane, Stella. Thomas and Stella are quite the pair. They live just around the corner so we have enjoyed conversing about baby stuff. Saskia is from Holland therefore I always love her European take on baby rearing. Then Russ and I took naps (our favorite). I headed off to tutor and Russ worked in the yard.

Today, Saturday, I had a beautiful, delicious, and fun shower at the Millsaps. It was so much fun to visit and see my childhood friends. I enjoyed trying to think of my fondest memories of each person as we chatted. Some really fun stories. Upon my refection of the fun memories about each person I thought how great it will be for Josie to make such fun and lasting memories with friends as I have. I pray she has as an enjoyable childhood as I did. Great neighborhood friends!

Russ and Thomas had a big day too. Grant Park had its 125th Anniversary Celebration today. Thomas was in the pet parade. Russ said he was scared the whole time of the marching band in front.

Upon getting home Russ and I unloaded the great gifts and then headed to our friend's house to babysit. Time to pause for a catch up....

Russ did not go to Guatemala this week. I know... I know... I am a bad blogger that I did not update with this big news. Two days before Russ was suppose to fly to Guatemala, I went to the doctor. We knew this appointment would be big as far as our peace of mind for him on the trip. As it turned out I was 1cm dialated and 60% effaced. What? I was just wondering if her head was down. The doctor said... "Oh yeah, I am touching her head." This was at 35 weeks. The doctor mentioned that I could go "next week or all the way to my due date" like this. This brought about a change in Russ' schedule. Needless to say... I did not go into labor this week past. But the decision was very worth it for the peace of mind.

Back to the above Russ and I went to babysit for the guy/friend, Jonathan Rich who graciously took Russ' place on the trip. His wife is a nurse at Grady and needed some sleep relief time, of which Russ and I were happy to babysit. Their son, Josiah is 7 months old and too cute. Russ and Josiah are now at the airport picking up Jonathan (Josiah's dad). Russ dropped me off at the Green's home. Right now, I am keeping Bella. Katie went to church to be with Chris for "Married Life Live." A cool marriage thing Buckhead does. It has been a fun baby day. Just a small pre-cursor to what is ahead. I love my friends and their babies!

Excited to have a blog...

Seeing things like this makes me excited to have a blog and excited to now have a camera that fits in my pocketbook. Does anyone say pocketbook anymore? Maybe my nana.

Many new pics and blogs below.
Sorry... for the delay in pictures,a lot going on these days.
I seem to be all or nothin.
We are still working on the nursery (long story) and will be done this week.
I will post pictures then.

Mother's Day Weekend

Granny and George rode home with us from mother's day festivities.
Thomas loved having them in the back seat.
This is my favorite picture ever!

We saw John and Jill Waterworth at Babies R Us.
They have two boys Luke and Thad.
If any of you knew John and Russ in college you would not have thought they would be at this point. Funny to see them transistion from kayaks to babies on their hips.
Cute dads.

Thomas & Josie

Lots of people ask how Thomas will do with Josie.
I was doing some yoga on the floor of Josie's room.
Thomas joined in the fun. It was really funny.

Katie, Bella and Bandit came over to hang out during one of the beautiful evenings this week. Thomas and Bandit hang out well together.
I guess if Thomas can be gentle enough not to squash Bandit he can handle Josie.
And of course Thomas loves to lick Bella.

I think Thomas is sticking his tongue out at the camera here.

New Camera Pictures

Russ' birthday was May 2nd.
He got chocolate chip panacakes and breakfast outside.

Katie,Bella and I had an adventure to Nordstrom at the Mall of Georgia.
We had a lot of fun!

My sweet sister-in-law, Rea and good friend Maci threw me a shower last weekend.
It was great to see some of my Lawrenceville friends.

Sweet grandmothers were there for the fun too.

This is what I call Morgan.
I think Julie Quintero started it... not sure.
But I heard today that Morgan Freeman's daughters name is Morgana.
And she lives in Atlanta.
It is a real name... Yesssss.

Stuff going on...

First, this is a shout out to my friend Kelly Ford. I am thankful to have friends to call me out on my un-bloginess. I have now updated some things but was not updating out of pure laziness. I apologize.

I am not going to say I will try and getting better. Due to the fact that my life is only going to get more crazy.

My sweet sister-in-law, Rea and friend Maci threw me a shower this past Saturday. Maci knows how much I feed off of "words of affirmation" (hence my first blog) and so at the shower everyone had to go around and tell how they knew me but then what characteristic I possessed that was going to make me a good mom. I remember every single one. And for those of you that were there... thank you for your sweet words. It reminded me how important it is to encourage one another. To just communicate.

On to what else is going on in my world. Russ and I are finally done with our renovations before Josie comes. Russ and two sweet college boys painted the den and dining room the whole day on Saturday. They look great. We have a couple more little things that mom and I are going to do in the nursery but other than that the Masterson house is back to normal.

Russ is leaving for Guatemala on Sunday so be praying that sweet Josie stays cozy (I know this rhymes) inside my tum until he gets home. I have a fun week planned with my mom, kc and friend staying with me while he is gone. I just can't run the house the same way I used to. I especially can't run Thomas like I used to.
