this is the way we clean our floors.....

Thomas and I are in a battle of sorts.  Not too sure he knows about it.  He is shedding hair like crazy due to this weather.  We are wonderfully shaving him in a week and I could not be more excited.  

Due to having a crawler or zoom a loom (as I like to call her due to her mad speed), hair does not suit our day to day life.  Granted there is a level of who cares.  Except when you are wearing black.  But literally, just to vent, I can sweep and the next day it looks as if I have done nothing.  It is extremely bothersome.

Josie and Thomas have been interacting more and more and it is really fun to watch.  Saturday morning I was checking my email and turned around to this pic/ video.  I laughed and laughed.

Josie has some Queen in her.  

We are known for sticking out our tongue in daily activities and Josie is all about it.

hiking in the highlands

this past weekend was beautiful.  we went with friends to highlands, nc.  we had a great time.

Monday we went to play with Maci and her two girls Allyn Marie and Mary Hollis.  Of course Chick-fil-a was in order.  Josie found two ketchup packets and it just made her so darn happy.  She kept grinning like this over and over.  So proud!

We have been travel bugs and continue to be travel bugs.  It is our hobby.  We pinch pennies to be able to hit the road.  Next week Russ and I will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary a little early with a trip to Costa Rica.  I am super excited for the good time with my handsome hubby but of course I already miss Josie and we haven't even left yet.

orlando a few weeks ago

we traveled to orlando a few weeks ago (josie's 4th time....spoiled) with the masterson clan.  we had a great time hanging out with everyone for extended amounts of time. we visited sea world.  rented a pontoon boat and drove around disney (best idea) and then russ, josie and i had a chill day at the house while everyone else went to disney world. here are some pictures from our fun times.

9 months going on age 13

We have done a lot since my last post.  Hopefully, I will be able to update on some of those things soon.  But for now here are the major things we are up to... (as well as the reason why I am so far behind in posting).  

We have a girl on the move...

Josie went through a "mama" phase for a bit.  Now we are fully on to "dada."  Apparently, he is the one that saves this damsel in distress.

Funny story from today:

So going to the grocery store is quite an event for me.  Lots to think about (I love to be strategic: meal planning, coupons, deals etc.) After being at the grocery store for an hour and a half (geez) we arrive home with many groceries.  I am coming in the house with a gallon of water and an arm full of groceries and josie is sitting on her knees in the middle of the kitchen (while talking to katie on the phone).  Well I drop the gallon of water directly in front of josie.  Water goes everywhere.  All over her, all over me.....all over the fridge the floor etc.  Josie is freaking out because she just had a loud noise and a humongous splash of water.  She is drenched... me too.  While I am drying her off she begins to laugh and laugh.  Me too.  For a long time.  We looked quite silly.  But it was fun.  We enjoyed the moment.
